There is always plenty of excitement when Walter comes to visit! Our residents at Angusfield House Care Home have enjoyed several visits from their favourite furry friend over the past month, with lots of cuddles, treats and smiles along the way. Walter has become a much-loved visitor, and everyone is always pleased to see him arrive.
His latest visit came with a seasonal twist, as Walter turned up wearing a sparkly pumpkin outfit just in time for Halloween. His festive look certainly caught everyone's attention and brought an extra touch of fun to the afternoon. With plenty of affection and treats on offer, Walter was thoroughly spoiled by our residents, who loved spending time with him.
Of course, Walter does not need a special outfit to make people smile. His regular visits are always a highlight, giving residents the chance to stroke his fur, share a cuddle and enjoy his gentle company. Even a few moments spent with a friendly dog can brighten someone's day and provide a welcome opportunity to relax and connect.
Animal visits can also bring back treasured memories for people who have owned pets themselves. Seeing Walter often sparks conversations about dogs and other animals residents have known throughout their lives, creating opportunities to reminisce and share stories with one another. These familiar experiences can make visits feel particularly meaningful.
At Angusfield House Care Home, we love welcoming Walter and seeing the happiness he brings to residents and team members alike. Whether he is enjoying a cuddle, accepting a treat or showing off his latest outfit, he always seems to know how to make himself the centre of attention!
A big thank you to Walter and his handler for continuing to visit us and brighten our days. We are already looking forward to his next visit and wondering what he might wear next.
